–UPDATE–Burton Global Open Series Snowboarding Championships, Presented by MINI

<

Both MINI and Burton Snowboards believe it is important that not only the best technical riding are rewarded, but that recognition should also go to displays and jumps that reflect maximum creativity, interaction with the environment and personal style. “Using limited space as creatively as possible” – what could keep more with the MINI philosophy?
From the beginning sessions of the BEO 2011 to the moment when the final rider drops in for the superpipe competition today, camera teams will be filming the performances of riders taking part in the “Creative Use of Space” challenge.
Beginning January 21st, the most inventive displays will be posted as web clips on facebook.com/MINI.
After each event, anyone participating can view the various tricks and select their personal favorites by liking them on Facebook.
The most popular clips from the BGOS events in Laax, Calgary and Stratton will be eligible for the global vote as event winners. The two overall winners of the Creative Use of Space Award will be named at the end of March. MINI will reward the most creative female and male rider with a cash prize of US$25,000 each.
Anyone participating in the online voting will automatically be entered into a prize draw for a trip for four to one of the Burton Global Open Series events in the 2011/12 season.
For further information on this collaboration and the Creative Use of Space Award take a look at: http://www.facebook.com/MINI.

here we are.
“FRAMED”
this is basically a pilot-project,something that andi wittmann thought about for a while, and then came over to ask me if im interested.
we`ve both been pretty busy over the summer, but we managed to squeeze in a few days,to see how this could turn out.
so we filmed a little riderprofile, showing andi doing what he feels like doing, and thats pretty much it.
i hope you like it the way we do,as this might be just the start of sth new in 2011,but…we´ll see.
for now…hello winter!

ALEX TANK Full parts in Isensevens “Dont panic!” and Let´s go get lost”

this clip is from the brandnew 2010 isenseven snowboard movie “dont panic!”.
i was in charge of filming and producing a nice, fitting intro for the opening part of the movie, and also take care of editing the whole thing.
i wasnt able to follow every move of alex,as i did the year before, but we did get to hang out a lot, still, and so i was glad being asked to do the intro again.
make sure to buy the full movie over at isenseven
